Hal Edward Runkel, Chief Visionary Officer

Hal Edward Runkel, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Relationship Coach, Teacher, Seminar leader, and now Author of the groundbreaking ScreamFree Living book series, has been leading students, teachers, parents and families in his ScreamFree Relationship methods since the very early years of his training.

Hal has taken the most advanced approaches to family relationship theory and through thousands of hours of family and child therapy, has developed the revolutionary ScreamFree Living methodology to revitalize relationships and bring a renewed sense of joy, love and caring to our families. Hal now presents the ScreamFree relationship programs to audiences nationwide through teleconferences, web seminars, newsletters, training classes, and through the ScreamFree Living book series. Hal and his wife, Jenny enjoy screamfree parenting their two wonderful children: Hannah and Brandon.

Jon Kaplan, Chief Operating Officer

Jon has been working part-time with ScreamFree since 2004, and recently has taken over as full time COO of the company. After 15+ years in the software world, Jon discovered ScreamFree and “had to” get on board the mission of calming the world. Jon brings a background of sales, business development, marketing and technology to the company. He will principally be responsible for the sales and operations aspects of the company.

Prior to ScreamFree, he spent five years at Progress Software, managing relationships with its key billion-dollar customers in the Southeast. Before that, Jon worked at two startups, acting once as CEO for an e-commerce company and once as VP Sales for a Sports Technology company, and for ten years with an Atlanta-based Business Intelligence Company heading up its SAP and International Sales Divisions. Jon and his wife, Tasha have two children, Breanna and Brendan.

Jenny Runkel, Director of Content

Jenny, married to Hal and screamfree Mom to Hannah and Brandon, has been powerfully influencing and forming children and families for ten years. She has taught preschool, ministered to teenagers in church settings, and taught professionally in several high schools. Jenny currently practices the ScreamFree principles with high school teenagers at one of the top private schools in Atlanta.

Cofounder of ScreamFree, Jenny has worked side-by-side with Hal in creating and refining the ScreamFree approach to relationships, and now joins him in writing, developing, and delivering the life-changing material to audiences nationwide.

Dave Markert, Chief Marketing Officer

Dave and his wife Dorothy have three children, Dave Jr., Dana, and Delaney. Dave has been involved in creating, operating, and growing a number of successful companies in the Healthcare, Computer Technology and Internet industries for the past 20 years. Leveraging the best approaches in marketing, advertising and distribution channels, Dave knows what it takes to bring a product to the marketplace, and generate volumes of satisfied customers.As a parent, Dave knows first hand the benefits of a ScreamFree life. Discovering Hal and the ScreamFree method in 2003, Dave wanted to use his knowledge of building and growing a business to bring the ScreamFree method to as many families as possible, so we can all enjoy a calmer world.

Fritz Miller, Chief Image Officer

Fritz and his wife Tami have a daughter, Talia, and son, Finn. Fritz is an accomplished graphic designer who over the last 20 years has designed the public face of a number of top companies and websites, developing their image and message to build maximum impact and awareness.

Fritz is the artistic soul behind the look and the message of ScreamFree, inspiring people at first glance to open "A Window to a Calmer World." Fritz oversees the graphic and design components of all ScreamFree materials, websites and publications, establishing the name and the message as a premier resource for revolutionizing the relationships of the world.

Teresa Meyer, IT Director

Teresa brings 18+ years of technology experience to the ScreamFree Team. She has worked in and managed consulting, software development, and website development for a variety of companies. Teresa is responsible for the company's internal systems and the back-end of the company website. Teresa and her husband Mike are relatively new parents to twin girls Addison and Lily. Although not a parent at the time she was introduced to Hal and ScreamFree in 2004, she could see how the ScreamFree methodology applied to all of her relationships.

Neil McNerney, Director of Training

Neil's background includes eight years as an elementary school counselor and 15 years in private practice working with kids, couples, and families. He loves being able to help parents navigate the waters of parenthood. He's a strong believer that parenting is "the toughest job you'll ever love." In addition to his private practice, Neil is an adjunct faculty member at the Virginia Tech Graduate School, where he teaches counseling skills with children and families.

Neil is very excited about his involvement in ScreamFree. He will be providing leadership in our training area of ScreamFree, where we will be training counselors, teachers, ministers, and other helpers in the ScreamFree approach.
