Hal and his wife, Jenny enjoy screamfree parenting their two wonderful children: Hannah (13) and Brandon (11).
Jon Kaplan, Managing Director
After 15+ years in the software world, Jon discovered ScreamFree in 2004 and loved its mission of calming the world through family relationships. Jon came on board part-time with ScreamFree late that year. In 2006, he took over as full time Chief Operating Officer and moved into his current role when the ScreamFree Institute was founded. Jon brings a background of sales, business development, marketing and technology to the company. He is principally responsible for the day to day operations of the organization and his passion for helping people find peace in their lives drives his work every day.
Prior to ScreamFree, Jon spent five years at Progress Software, managing relationships with its key billion-dollar customers in the Southeast. Before that, Jon worked at two startups, acting once as CEO for an e-commerce company and once as VP Sales for a Sports Technology company, and for ten years with an Atlanta-based Business Intelligence Company heading up its SAP and International Sales Divisions. Jon and his wife of 17 years, Tasha, have two children, Breanna age 9 and Brendan, age 6.
Sarah Holley, ScreamFree Fellow and Director of Leadership Development
A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s in psychology, Sarah also obtained a master’s in community counseling from Georgia State and a diploma in Christian counseling from Richmont Graduate University (formerly Psychological Studies Institute). Upon graduation, she worked as a foster care social worker and special education teacher before staying home to raise three children: Graham, 13, Reeve, 11, and Hannah, 9. She loves to play tennis, read historical fiction, hang out with her husband of 16 years, Bobby, and watch her kids play sports. She loves encouraging young moms and finds great joy in teaching Bible studies at her church.
Sarah was introduced to ScreamFree through Jon Kaplan. No, he didn’t know she really needed it personally, but just hoped she’d be interested since her master’s degree is in counseling. Reluctantly, Sarah read ScreamFree Parenting, started to see changes in her own life as a mom, and eventually became a certified leader and trainer. She is now happy to be the Director of Leadership Development where she will assist other ScreamFree leaders in staying connected and expanding their influence.

Tasha Kaplan, Web Content Assistant
Tasha has worked part-time for ScreamFree since 2008, but was involved long before then. As the mother of a young toddler and a second child on the way, ScreamFree Parenting peaked her interest. Once she read it and started exercising her newfound ScreamFree muscle, she found the principles were not only applicable in her parenting role, but in business relationships and as a longtime youth soccer coach. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Methodist College, and a Master of Education degree with a Sport Management major from the University of Georgia.
Prior to joining ScreamFree, Tasha served as Executive Director of the Georgia State Soccer Association and as Venue Director for the Georgia Aquatic Center for the 1996 Paralympic Games.
